Rachel To play Jackie Kennedy Role

Hollywood actress Rachel Weisz is reportedly all set to portray former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in a movie directed by her fiance Darren Aronofsky.

The British actress would play the iconic woman in the biopic 'Jackie' written by Noah Oppenheim, which follows the four-day period between President John F Kennedy's assassination and burial in November 1963, Entertainment
Weekly reported.

The project will be helmed by the 40-year-old star's finance Aronofsky which would be their second collaboration following the 2006 movie 'The Fountain'.

Jacqueline served as First Lady during Kennedy's presidency from 1961 until his assassination in 1963 and was later married to Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis from 1968 until his death in 1975. In later years she had a successful career as a book editor.

Weisz, who grabbed the Academy award for Best Supporting Actress Oscar for 'The Constant Gardener' in 2005, will next be seen in thriller 'Dream House' with Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts and western drama
'Unbound Captives' alongside Robert Pattinson and Hugh Jackman.

She has reportedly been approached for a role in the upcoming 23rd James Bond movie, due for release in 2011.
