Endhiran Confirmed Release Date

Following Mani's bilingual epic Raavanan, this year's other much awaited extravaganza the Shankar directed Endhiran will hit the screens. If industry inside sources are to be believed, Shankar is on the verge of announcing the release date, which is likely to be September 3, 2010. Endhiran, the sci-fi fantasy has been in the making for a couple of years with superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

Owing to its mammoth budget, Eros International decided to drop the project earlier during the recession period after which SUN pictures took it over. Endhiran is reportedly made at a whopping budget of Rs. 190 crores, the highest ever budget for a motion picture in Indian cinema. Oscar winner A R Rahman scores for the movie, which is co-written by the late writer Sujatha.

Hello mates the very much expected Superstar rajinikanth starrer directed by shankar and music composed by A.r.rahman.Today in an interview to NDTV Superstar has said that endhiran would be releasing this year August 15th.It was reportedly budgeted at Rs 128.70 crore but after a schedule in Brazil, the budget was expanded to Rs 150 crore. Then the original producers – Ayngaran and Eros – decide to leave the film and film was taken over by Sun TV’s Sun Pictures. Sources say that the cost of production has increased further as the crew remuneration was paid in dollars. With that the cost of Endhiran has skyrocketed to Rs 165 crore.
