Asin Gives explanation About Her Srilankan Visit

Asin is caught in the eye of a storm with the Hindi film crew of her next film, which is the remake of the Telugu hit Ready, deciding on Sri Lanka to film some scenes. While initially the plan was to shoot some scenes in Mauritius, the film’s hero Salman Khan is reported to have made a change in venue after his visit to the island to participate at the IIFA.
Moving on to Asin, we hear that a certain section of Tamil film personalities are seething over her decision to visit Sri Lanka for the shooting. Reacting to this, Asin has told the media persons recently that attending or not attending the IIFA in Sri Lanka was her choice and she opted out supporting the Tamilians. However, she added, the decision to forego the shooting does not rest with her and hence she has to follow the instructions given to her by the crew of the film

Asin faints in Vijay's kaavalkaran film

Asin fainted due to a gas leak in the caravan allotted to her during the shooting of Kaavalkaran. The actress was not alone when the mishap took place as her father, and makeup assistants were also along with her. All of them inside the caravan fainted, sources report, and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, after the initial treatment, they returned back to their hotels for rest.

The actress is camping in Karaikudi area along with the film crew of Kaavalkaran to complete the first schedule of the film.

Asin Not to bring her father to film sets

Asin Thottumkal became a household name after the success of the Hindi film "Ghajini". The actress, who is presently working for "London Dreams" with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, has stopped bringing her father on the sets after her Bollywood co-stars requested her not to do so.

Earlier, Asin used to be accompanied by her father on movie sets. But nowadays she comes alone.

According to sources, her Bollywood co-stars have asked her not to bring her father to shooting locations and the actress has obliged them.

Meanwhile Asin's "19 Steps" with Kamal Hassan, has been stalled.

Kamal, who was to play a significant role in the film, reportedly suggested some major changes to producer Bharatbala vis-୶is the script and the latter didn't take it kindly. As a result Kamal backed out of the film, forcing the movie's abandonment for the time being.

Asin meets James cameron

When veteran Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron was in the country for a conclave recently, only a chosen few were lucky enough to meet the Oscar winner. Superstar Aamir Khan and the thinking man’s actor Abhay Deol were lucky enough to bring in their birthdays with the legendary director but the gorgeous Asin was the only lass lucky enough to meet him.
Asin was attending the event as a representative of the industry’s youth and was speaking on the subject “Reality v/s Idealism”. She spoke to Cameron at great length during the evening that followed.
A source at the scene told us: “Asin and James were both present to bring in Aamir’s birthday and they had a great time. Aamir even joked to Asin asking her to put a single candle on his cake as opposed to 45. They had a quiet dinner together and discussed cinema. James even pulled Asin’s leg to the extent of asking her for her autograph through the evening.”
We hear that Asin is a great conversationalist and that she jokingly asked the world-renowned director if he wanted to break into Bollywood, to which he wittily replied: “Sure ,why not, but on one condition — no song and dance for me in my movies.”
