Kareena Goes Ethnic Way

The very chic Kareena goes the traditional Indian way for Atul Agnihotri's Bodyguard.

Playing the college-going daughter of a Don, Kareena's style this season will be bright flared kurtas with lots of oxidised jewellery. Bodyguard, directed by Siddique, is an adaptation of a Malayalam blockbuster.

The Manish Malhotra-designed look is accessorized by lots of bangles and neck pieces. Embroidered patches with crochet and threadwork add more flavour, expecting to start a new trend among youngsters.

Kareena's source informs, "She wanted to keep her hair long, straight and shiny black in the film."

The original Malayalam flick revolves around a young man Jayakrishnan who adulates anyone with a trace of heroism and offers to be their bodyguard.

A business tycoon Ashokan hires him to follow and safeguard his only daughter Ammu and to follow her everywhere.

Years later, Jayakrishnan realises that his real lover is Ammu, who's waited for him for so many years faithfully and marries her in the end.
